darn I woke up this morning and realized I bought my bike used and maybe it already has the hyd. tentioner in it , maybe that is why it shifts better than any other bike I have owned , now to keep this going should I try to get the clunk back
Don't really give a fk what most think here, but if I had a choice between any of the adjusters out there ,Id be sticking a manual adjust on it. If that's what you have now, enjoy the benifits of a well adjusted chain.
Ron
You posted over and over about something,.... WTF
And it was arguing against me the op and our fix for the clunk.
I'm scared to ask, just what is it that you are claiming to have been arguing about?
Too tired of this **** to go back and analyze it.
Please don't say that your endless attacks have been not arguing about anything. Please don't say that. You argued about something. What? What was it?
I think I'm going to bed early tonight. You are giving me a headache.
Go back and READ! Know what you're bellowing about, before you bellow.
For a guy that quit this thread a long time ago, you sure have made a LOT of incorrect statements.
Ready to admit it yet, Ed?:icon _tongue:
You all have gone way past the point of having a decent debate. Now you just sound like old women at the discount store fighting over the last pair of granny panties.
HA HAAAAAA!!!! LOL! Dayum!
I just adjusted mine for her 5000 mile checkup. First time ever, took me all of ten minutes, including repolishing the plate, bolt heads, and primary.
No excuse for anyone with a stock adjuster. None. It still clunks...just a little bit...and still sometimes goes in smooth and quiet..(making me wonder if it's in)...and shifts perfectly every time. Life is good.

And why did you get involved? To make it a 3-way? hehehe
You are correct, of course!!! But it was fun, and entertaining at the same time!
Not sure if it's okay to talk tech or not, but I just thought of another thing that can cause stiff shifting and hard to find neautral.
Over filling the primary can cause this.
If it calls for 26 oz - use 26 oz (some softails), don't just throw a quart in there because it is easier.
Over filling is not good.
