Oil Leak?
MY 2008 ultra has started leaking oil at the grommet that has the wires for the alternator (front primary).........whats the correct fix? can it be repaired from the outside or does one have to go inside to be fixed............

Yup, inside. You have to replace the stator as the grommet is molded to the wire. Do you have a shop manual? It will explain what is necessary to replace it. Mine was replaced under extended warranty at approx 40,000 miles a couple of months ago...

If it's not covered under warranty, go to the dealer and price all the parts you'll need. The decide if smearing some black gasket sealer around the plug, is something you can live with.,,
