I think they will have a water cooled touring bike as a option if not all bikes.Bikes will cost over $30,000. GPS and gages will on the windshield. Bikes will get 50+ MPG
Harleys will still be assembled here in the US with most of the parts coming from overseas.
I predict more chromed plastic parts that cost more the chromed steel parts. More computer controlled stuff, making the motor taper proof. Welded on exhaust systems, also tamper proof. And the choice of any color you want as long as it's Vivid black.,,
They'll look exactly like they do now, like they did 10 years ago, that's part of the beauty of the HD isn't it??? On the bright side, if you keep your bike looking nice, it can be years old and no one can tell.
An inovation I'd like to see is the foot brake that actuates one of the front calipers and the rear. Some kind of proportioning valve would have to be used to control the pressure to the front caliper. The hand lever would actuate the other front caliper.
Would probably add another $1000 to the price though!!
Why? If you have much experience riding, reaching for the front while using the foot on the rear is pretty much reflex,,,, I love my ABS,, but don't want the bike doing all my thinking for me as far as control goes.....
As the poster above said, I know when I want MORE front brake,,, or less. And I use the front and rear,, VERY seldom, if never just the rear when I am stopping.
the new 2010 or 2011 Gold wing has an airbag! I think we might see some safety technologies in action...
Ok,, I hadn't heard that yet,, how in the hell does that work? Wouldn't they have to KEEP YOU ON the bike for it to do any good? And what does it do,, pop up out of the seat all around you and wrap you up to protect you? :P
