Took my '09 UltraGlide in for it's 1k service, and after getting it home, noticed that the dealer did not grease the steering head. Called them and said they did, but of course it was a lie. I purchased a tube of HD all purpose grease and did it myself. Took almost the entire tube. Was already aware that it would probable leak oil, considering I live in the high desert of CA. I just took an old black cotton sock and wrapped & tied it around the lower part of the steering head unit, and it soaks up the oil. I just remove it periodically and wash it in soap and water. Better safe than sorry, piece of mind knowing its full of grease.

Dang - million mile service (1000k). Now that's impressive.
