As Hog-Doc said, HD is not doing R&D for eveyone else. Same is true for TTS though. You will find a broader selction of starter maps, but they are just that and are very similar to the SE ST maps. Just did a build and tweaked a map based on experience and it runs great, but still needs to go on a dyno or at a minimum, the V-Tune functionality needs to be used to get it closer. Canned maps will work if they are truly made to work with all the exact components you have, but there is always a bit more left on the table with a canned map.
Seriously considering the SEST and just need to know the difference between the 32109-08A and the 32109-08B. I have an 09 Ultra with SE-AC and Bub 7 slipons on stock non cat head-pipes. Right now I'm running a PCV with the O2 eliminators.
Clint55 - the difference is that the B model is newer. The A will have been discontinued. The B is orange in color not black and the circuit board is a little different apparently.
"A "choke" feature has been added to the circuit board and the color of the Vehicle Communication Interface (VCI) box has been changed to orange to provide visible differentiation from the previous VCI."
Heaven knows what that means. The choke could just be an EMI choke for all I know.
Fundamentally the part must do more or less the same thing or they'd have changed the number of the part not just the suffix.

"Now featuring improved electronics to enhance reliability
and improve communication between the vehicle and the computer. A choke feature has been added to the circuit board, and the color of the Vehicle Communication Interface (VCI) box has been changed to orange to provide visible differentiation from the previous VCI."
I stand by my conclusion that the choke is an EMI choke meant to improve performance in the presence of EMI (electro magnetic interference). Sounds like the previous version that I'm lucky enough to have was not as reliable as it should be. I dare say it'll work though.

Hog-Doc - there's no voluntary/silent recall on the 08A version is there? Seems the MoCo needed to make this change for reliability reasons.
No recalls to my knowledge and for that matter no reliability issues Ive seen either. Every now and then when getting ready to do a download it would not comm but it was a simple as unplugging the USB cable and plugging it back in. Never seen one fail, loose a map or have a PC style no start.
