Default Disappointing selection of SEST Maps - Help?

So I have a pretty straight forward and popular set up on my Ltd:

V&H Power Duals, Klock-Werks mufflers (pretty wide open - you could definitely run a night stick through them), 255 cams and an SE air cleaner.

I bought the SEST, cable and software anticipating being able to download appropirate maps and I'm not crazy about getting a full dyno tune as I'm probably going to change the muffers to Fatshotz.

Any ideas? I sure could use some help.

Get a dyno tune. One size does not fit all.

Never said it did (forgive my crankiness)- but I did say I don't want to get a dyno right now ("I'm not crazy about getting a full dyno tune"). I've done a dyno on my Fatboy with a PCIII. I've heard that a skilled tuner can put together maps without a dyno that'll get you pretty darned close. I'm not looking to eek out an extra 1HP just for bragging rights and I'm not particularly interested in 3 to 4 hrs of labor and dyno tuning time. What I rea(forlly want is a couple of maps that'd allow me to switch back and forth between mufflers.

Does the SEST have a tuning program like VTune on the TTS that you could do? I took mine to a tuner, but several people have had good success using VTune.

I believe it does and I need to get off my butt and figure it out some time soon. Think I need to take a pain pill or two on account of the 3 holes in my belly . . . might help my crank level

They are out there, not quite as hard to find as Bigfoot, but close!

Set your CI to 105.5, run smart tune. If you change mufflers run smart tune again. It probably wont change all that much with just a muffler change, either way the HP and TQ will be really close with either muffler!

SEST s/w comes with some rather generalized baseline maps - but they're no where close to being right for a specific set up. For instance the baseline for mine is for a 2010 103 255 with "racing pipes"

That means any free flowing exhaust system. Its a place to start that works just fine.

I gaurantee you if you owned HD you would NOT be doing R&D for everybody elses parts either!
