Angry PCV Autotune Problems??? Please HELP!!!

I just purchased a PCV (07 retrofit PCV) for my 07 Ultra from a member on the forum and also purchased the Auto Tune modules from another member on the forum. Both parties stated that Jamie at Fuelmoto would support the products.

After installing the PCV and the Autotune modules on my bike on Friday and taking it for an extensive test ride yesterday, I have discovered that it seems that the Autotune Module #1 is not working.

After the ride, I hooked the PCV to my laptop to look at what was happening. I see trim values in Cylinder 2 but all zero's in Cylinder 1.

I have installed the terminiator plugs into the ends of both stock O2 connectors and also have installed the terminator plug into the empty socket on the autotune modue.

When I power up the bike both autotune module lights blink. Then cylinder 2 starts blinking about once every second. The Cylinder 1 autotune module light tuns on constantly. I have even hit the reset button on module 1 and nothing. I have also moved the cables around on the modules, nothing.

In addition, my check engine light comes on momentarily when I power up the bike now. Is that normal?

Anyone have any ideas????? I have confidence that somebody on the forum can help me out. You guys have answered every other question that I have had.

Thanks,

Scott

Is the PCV the right one for an 07? Try switching the AT to the other cyl and see if the problem follows......

Default Good Idea...

Yes, it is the PCV 07 retrofit. I will try to switch the module wiring. It's not too hard, just five wires on each module. I should have thought of that... I will report back later today on that. Right now.. I have Dad duty watching the kid.

Thanks,

Scott

Jamie has a couple posts in here that may help https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...e-working.html

If you are not getting fuel trims the AT is not working. The most popular reason we see is during the install some users overlook plugging in the CAN termination plug into the open port on the AT module.

Another tech tip with the AT is to make sure you have the AT plugged into the data port under the left side cover, not the accessory plug which is under the seat and the same connector.

Goodluck look forward to getting my auto tune soon also!

Sickbagger.. thanks for the link. Yes, I have the autotune modules plugged into the serial plug on the side of the bike. And.. I also have the CAN termination plug inserted into the open socket.

I hope that I didn't get sold a "bill of sale" and end up having a bad sensor.

Thanks,

Scott

Looks like maybe I was lucky not getting to buy that one! Seemed odd when it was sold twice but talk to Jamie from what I can see he has posted that he would stand behind any of Fuelmoto's products as long as they sold them even if you bought them from another forum member with the original receipt. Man I tell you its hard to find guys like that now a days. More power to them those guys they a have reputation of reputaions.

I had the same concerns I just bought the PCV from forum member
emwolb in OK. That was the selling point for me to get it slightly used knowing that Jamie would take care of me in the future. Now I am looking for the auto tune and the Woods TW6-6 and adjustable push rods.

Good luck let me know what it was when you figure it out!

This is going to sound like a very dumb question... I am only asking it because you haven't elaborated in any of your posts.

Have you checked the checkbox to enable the Auto-Tune modules?

Also have you made sure that #1 is plugged into the front cylinder and that #2 is plugged into the back cylinder? This makes a difference.

Whether you have the AT enabled or not it should still read live AFR in the software. I would triple check the the O2 to module harnesses and make sure all of the wires have a good connection at the terminals on the AT modules. To determine if it is a sensor issue you can also swap sensors front to ready and if it is a sensor the live AFR will change from cyl 2 to cyl 1. Either way, if there is a problem you can send the AT to us and we will test it and if there are any issues we will take care of it.
