Did the same thing....I bought the single rail saddlebag support. (46565-04)

Surdyke HD (20% off thing)......but I think it really finishes the look.

JMO.

BTW.....I sold my stock "twin rail" saddlebag supports on eBay which more than covered the cost of the new supports.

I bought the streeglide bars. And put mustache bars up front. Cleaned her up good.

I did the same thing. I agree, I like the cleaner look. I have the holes to deal as well. I just bought some bags that mount on the crash bars. Eventually I will wrap in leather as well.

I'm a cheap bastard also and I spiraled wrapped mine with black electrical tape until I can find a used one on Craigs list

went to autozone and bought some chrome tape. You can't tell unless you look real close. That way if I decide to put them back on I just take the tape off.
