I had the twin rail on my Ultra. Took them off and stored them. Bought the SG version and used them for a year.
Later I sold the bike and I returned it to stock with the twin rails.

I now have a perfect set of SG bag mounts in a box sitting in the garage collecting dust.

When you can get them new for 120 bucks online, no one wants to buy them from you for say 80-90 bucks with free shipping even.
They want them for 30 bucks with free shipping to the moon....

How about No, cheap *** basterds...

Good call...did the same last weekend. I'm with BACKAT50, spiral wrap black electrical tape. Inexpensive and I kind of like the look.

After reading this thread I went right into the garage
and took mine off also.
****, took about 20 minutes and I was done.
Definitley like this look better.
Thought about the chrome tape and after someone said it looks good
I'll go to Autozone tomorrow and get some and try it.

BUT remember now, if the bags ever come loose we don't have that little
cradle of bars holding them on! We should all do the bolt mod. It also helps with theft of your bags too'

I sold my ultra style crash bars and bag rails on ebay. Used the money to buy a set of SG style bag supports. Took off the fender bumpers, too for the cleaner look. If you remove the rear bumper, you have to replace it with a SG style bracket.

Once I took mine off I ordered four more of the front slanted pieces from the dealer. I then cut the factory bolt down, put one on the front then one on the back finished b a chrome acorn nut to hold together! Pics to follow.
