Setting up summer trip and was wondering if anyone has used a dry erase marker to write down directions on there windshield? Yes if it rains it might come off, yes i use a map/tank bag. But putting up directions as we head out from base camp each day would make life a lot easier. Anybody do this. Flame on but at least its not another oil thread.
Never heard of that before but it sounds like a pretty good idea. We use those type markers a lot at work. They can be a little difficult to clean off after being on our board for a long time but no problem if cleaned daily or after just a few days.
Postit note on the inside of the windsheild works.
If too big use onr of those large paper clips and put in a plastic sleeve.
I don't thinks I would try dry erase.
Even a brand new windshield has micro scratches in it. The more you clean it with cloths and towels the more scratches it will get, barely visable, but still there.
Dry erase markers will get into those scratches and discolor the winshield over time.
Get a tank bag or pouch for your map/directions. Works well, and you can take the map or directions away from the bike if you need to.
It also will be easier to write on and isn't as distracting as something on the windshield.
