+1 on the J & m's and Shawn. The hardware with the speakers is good, no modifications, easy install. Plus the foam backing for the fairing really enhances the sound quality. Best money spent if you want an option that does not require an amp.
We sell all brand but the J&M's far outsell anything else we sell. Shawn and Al both have them in their bikes and have recently added the amp. The sound is mind blowing. Really. I ride a softail but if I had a bagger, I'd be all over this setup.
The ultimate setup would be the J&M 7.25" speakers and the J&M amp! Shawn calls it the Dr. V-Twin Bagger audio SUPERCHARGER package. After hearing the J&M 7.25" speakers with the new J&M amp, I have to agree big time!

We have a ton of the J&M speakers in stock for batwing and road glide fairing bikes. We also have another boat load of J&M 7.25" speakers in transit to us as we speak. We don't want to be out of stock on them EVER AGAIN! We are doing our part to ensure that we have as many speakers in stock so we can ship them out the same day you order them!
More amps are coming on Monday. Call now to reserve yours as they will all be gone by the time they arrive!

Depending on how much money you want to spend,..............................makes all the difference. If money isn't really that big of a deal, there are many speakers that blow away the 'biker' company speakers like Hog Tunes, Hawg Wired, and J&M.
I have HogTunes on my Ultra. Here's my assessment:
First I dropped in the rear speakers last year. Better quality, but somewhat quieter. A month or so ago I installed the front speakers and the amp. The amp powers the front speakers so now the volume difference is very noticeable. I also have a hiss coming from the front speakers that goes away at times. At high speeds, they sound great. Would I buy again from Hogtunes? Doubtful.
When my stock radio started acting up, I built an inexpensive custom system. Sony GT420 radio and Biketronics module, Hogtunes hogpod and Hogtunes amp, JL Audio 6.5 marine speakers mounted in the lowers, and Sony Xplod 5.25 speakers in the fairing. Sounds excellent at highway speed, and I spent less than $700 for everything.
