I have the Biketronics Titan amp and the Titan XL 6.5" speakers made it Italy http://www.biketronics.com/. They really can't be beat. I NEVER have to raise the volume above 60-70% even at 75-80 mph. The sound is crisp at any speed and my bike is loud with a D&D FatCat. In fact I can ride with a full helmet on at speed and still not need to raise the volume above 75%.

And none of the other amp/speaker options provide a lifetime full replacement warranty like the Biketronics warranty. That was enough to convince me.

Arc Audio 125.2 amp and 6.5" Focal speakers. This is the best quality I found.

I just installed the Hogtunes speakers, amp and tweeter pod. I am very impressed, and I was able to score the whole setup on e-bay for less than $400. I would rate this as a very good system, but based on what I conside a budget system it is great. I know there are others out there and I considered them all, but for me, this is perfect, sound is good, with separate tweeter pods I can dial up th ebase without losing midrange or highs, and I have yet to crank it up over 50% volume at highway speeds.

When it comes right down to it, I dont think any of the big three - Hog Tunes, Hawg Wired or JM are bad choices, just different.

I installed the J&M 5.25 in my batwing with no amp and had no improvement over stock. I think that whatever set up you do make sure you include an amp.

Default Harley Ka-Boom Speakers

Anyone tried the Harley Ka-Boom speakers? They seem to be in the same general price range as Hog-Tune replacement speakers.

If you want the best sound possible get he J&M speakers with their new 250W amp. The sound is unbelievable and far beyond what I would ever expect to hear on a motorcycle. I have heard most of the others in person as well and still feel the J&M's are head and shoulders above the competition. They sound great without the amp as well, but add the amp and you will be the talk of the town. Shawn will make you a great deal as well. Drew

Hogtunes are great and price is reasonable. I've also tried the J&M's, but like the bass response of Hogtunes much better.

Focal & Boston Accoustics sound REAL nice.

You wallet is your guide.
I am with Glacierpearl on this wallet is your guide. If your real audio nut running amp nothing beats Focal or BA

For sure ! I think I'd put my system up against any of these "can't be beat" set ups, but,.............OTOH, most people don't want to lose the space in the bags , or spend more than a couple of thousand bucks !!

One thing I learned years ago................. A good deal is a state of mind.

If you are happy with your sound system, and happy with the price, YOU GOT A GOOD DEAL !!
That's why God made us all different.

Some people think I'm an audio guru, and some think I'm an audio dweeb.

Truth is, I'm closer to the dweeb end !!
