Mount the tires and enjoy em. Sell the used ones on eBay and buy more beer with the 'extra' money to decorate your lift and new tire machine with...jus saying

If you haven't tried the Elite III's yet, you are in for a surprise, they are awesome. Well I hate to bring this up but, anybody that has a new toy and doesn't play with it, well, you should just give it to your friends to play with.

Dawg, I would just go over to Soo's house and ask to borrow the changer until he is ready to use it. What are friends for?

You live in Vermont, how long can the riding season be up there? If you can get this season out of the old tires do it and have the winter to work on the bike.

I am in a similar situation I was given the Harbor Freight tire changer as a gift for Christmas and I just ordered a set of E3's for mine today......I am going to run my old 402's til they need to be changed which is probably another 6000-7000 miles hopefully about mid summer. Cause I am frugal, I can't help it.....just the way I am.
