I think the only difference is the angle of the fairing.

That was one of the mods I added to mine over the winter. I did have to play with the headlight housing a little bit to get it to fit. It could still use a some adjusting to get the headlights centered in the openings better, but it does fit.

You are gonna have to adjust the headlights. Just went through this with mine. Best way to do it is take the outer fairing off and back the adjust screws out until it fits. If your headlights are already adjusted correctly then take a sharpie and mark on the screws in the same spot. Then back them out equal turns. When you get it to fit bring them back in until the point before they touch the bezel. You will know if you went too far because the bezel will pop out. It takes a little trial and error but it is pretty easy.

Are you having a problem with the trim not going in back enough to clip on? Because, I was having the same problem.... On my 2009, all I had to do is re-adjust the angle of the two screws on the bottom of the head light assembly and then it just snapped in just fine....

As others have said, if your head light adjustment screws are too far out, then your new trim ring will not snap in. Take off your outer faring and screw out the adjustment screws all and equal amount and try fitting the bezel again.
