Default Help Please.....Slide Diaphragm ??

I know I'm in the wrong place, but I need some quick help, please.

Can someone please tell me if carburetor cleaner is going to damage the diaphragm on the slide of a CV carb?

Short story...I accidently sprayed where I shouldn't have, didn't think about it/realize till after the carb was put back together, and I'm planning on reinstalling the carb first thing tomorrow morning. (first time working on a carb)

Any quick help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

You should be ok.If it is Calif.compliant you could probably drink it and would be ok.

Rotten and FastHoss,

Thanks to you both. I took it out and washed it lightly with some soap and let it dry over night. Going to reinstall it tonight.

I couldn't get the left side manifold bolts loose so that going to have to wait for another day. Hopfully the seals are not an issue, and over time I'll get the right tool for the job. I broke two wrenches today trying to break them loose, so tightness isn't an issue.

So thanks again,

Yachtman
