Default Starter silonoide problem?

I stoped for fuel today and my 07 FLHTC would not start so i taped on the starter silonoide and it started up and no problems since has anyone had this happen? do i need to change it out? any comments that would be helpful..thanks..

With the 2007 I would consider looking at the service bulletin M1231 on the 2007 starter issue as well as checking the connections and relay.

my battery took a crap on me, same thing may want to check that if its never been replaced

My '07 FLHX, the starter bolts were loose. Caused the same problem.

Ok yes ive talked to a harley tech. and he said he has seen a few o7 touring bikes do that with the starter bolts and to back them out a little and retighten the bolts. and thanks for your info.

My hat is off to DAWG good call on the service bulletin M1231 that was my problem not a good ground @ contact surfaces for starter .I took the starter off and cleaned and installed and no problem since starts great..
