I recently discovered that Rush now has true dual head pipes for the touring models. They didn't have them when I bought my Rush slip ons. I'm running a K & N high flow and PC-V along with them.
Is it worth it to swap out the stock head pipes for the true duals?
What advantages do I gain besides a cooler running engine? I've seen people say there is a HP gain to true duals, and I've seen other say it's the opposite.
I'll do the swap myself so labor cost isn't a factor.
I would think if your PCV is remapped to your new set-up I would think modest hp gains, not much. Probably better though for reducing the heat. Most I have read on here claim 2-1 pipes are the hp winners.
Just had the true duals installed with the 2" Rush slip-ons. Sounds & looks great! Can't beat that "stereo" sound. Never liked using the stock crossover pipe -- such a flat stock sound IMO.
I didn't really notice any loss, or gain for that matter, when I installed my true duals. What I did notice was a much cooler ride and a SWEEEEET sounding set of pipes. Love the true dual stereo sound.
