What size speakers are you running? How many speakers? I assume the amp used up quite a bit of bag space? Thinking of adding 6x9's...

I have ran both Hawg Wired and the new J&M setup. Hawg Wired IMO is superior in its ability to produce volume with very little distortion. There are plenty of cheaper amps out there that get loud, but also come with lots of distortion. I have never done any audio upgrades that included changing out the head unit. Your head unit should have RCA linear outputs that would hook directly into the amp instead of using speaker level outputs of head unit. Look for an amp that you can connect that way and you should get superior results. The RCA outputs of your head unit will give the amp much cleaner sound to amplify and will produce less distortion than using the speaker outputs of the head unit going to the amp.

Arc mini 125.2 with Kappa Infinity 62.9i speakers and I think the system sounds really good.

Just put in the new J&M 7.25's. They sound great off of my Arc 125.2. I have been looking at upgrading the headunit to a new alpine, but just havent gotten that far.

I just went with Hawg Wired amp and speakers. Sounds great and no distortion. Well worth the money.

I have both the Alpine PDX 4.100 & the Arc Audio KS 2.125, probably going to sell the Arc & go with another Alpine, it will be the PDX 4.150.

Currently powering a pair of Hertz HCX 165 in the inner fairing and a pair of Hertz HCX 690 in the bags.
The Arc is powering a pair of Boston Accoustic SA 746 (custom install between windshield & radio) and another pair of Hertz HCX 165 (upgraded the HD 5.25 in the fairing).
This 8 speaker set up sounds GREAT until I add the tourpac and try to squeeze 2 more speakers of music out of the Arc. Yeah I know 10 Speakers well that what happens when Big Boys BUY BIG BOY TOYS!
Still sounds good but it causes too much strain on the Arc and it will shut down after playing for a while. Hence the reason for going with the PDX 4.150....
I will post some pics this week & add a little video as well.
Thanks IKRO, ICE Heritage, Firecap & anyone else who I have bugged the chit out of over the past 10 months.

What kind of charging issues have you guys had running big stereos. I made a bandpass encloser with a 10" in my saddle bag and two 6x9's and two 5.25 in the lids
Two 5.25 in the batwing powered by a pdx5 sounds great. Just wondering whats the most common probles with these rolling concert halls.
