So, I decided to get the temp management system for my '08 FLHRC. I have the early 2008, so I need the ECM reflash to enable the feature. I was reading the service bulletin and it says it shall be downloaded by the dealer at the customers request at no charge.
Question is, is this feature only free during the warranty period or is the MoCo honoring as long as you are the original owner? Dont need a sickening $150 charge for a 5 min update that my bike missed by one month. (Built 1 month prior to the factory install).

I would think that if it is still under factory warranty, they would do it for free / no charge...
my 2008 already had the EITMS flash update, but did not have the ETC High Idle correction flash update... got it flashed for free under the factory warranty (had one month left - bought the bike used from an out of state dealer)...

warranty expired
Yeah, problem is that my bike is no longer under the factory warranty. It expired last November. Just trying to know if the update will only be free within the 2 yr warranty period.
