New Brake rotor grinding

Im getting about 1 1/2 turns while up in the air before it stops and both in and outside pads are touching so it appears they are centered. I am going to clean the pistons and calipers and remove the wheel and reinstall to see if that helps. I measure the thickness of the new rotor and the stock rotor and they are exactly the same thickness. Could there be a build up of chrome on the stock pads now causing the grinding and squeeking when i stop, has this happened to anyone? Organic pads i can't find on the net.

i noticed i was having the same problem. raised my bike on the jack to clean my new 21" with matching dna rotors. i only got about 1/2 a turn out of the wheel before it stopped. jacked my dad's up and got over 2 full turns. gonna check the clearance issues you guys reccomended here. thanks.
