Default MT90B16 for rear?

Hey guys,
Few of my friends and I had some Elite 3s
put on this weekend BUT
the dude put MT90B16 on the rear!
Is this ok? Is it safe?
I thought the MU was for rear...
I know the MU is wider from reading
these forums but is the MT ok for the rear?
Thanks guys
pete

Well then was it an MT90 rear tire, or an MT90 front tire? I know the tread pattern goes in different directions on my rear tire than as on my font tire.

The tire says "for rear use only"
and then a directional arrow.
Shoot didn't see that earlier.
Sounds ok then huh?

Yup, they bought a MT90 rear as opposed to the MU90 rear.

The MU has a higher load rating and is a better choice for a bagger especially for riding 2 up.

It's REAL easy....
http://www.dunlopmotorcycle.com/default.asp
MT90B16 74H BW 4079-91 3.00 25.70 5.15 10/32 830 @ 40
MU90B16 78H BW 4079-95 3.00 25.72 5.57 11/32 930 @ 40
the MU is 0.02 inches taller 0.42 iches wider, and carries 100 more pounds.
for those at you playing along at home.... the OEM 402 is rated at 908 pounds

Depends on the year, up until 04 or 05 all the baggers used MT90's then they used MU85's until 08. An MT90 is a 130 an MU85 is a 140 either will work just fine on everything up tp an Ultra runnin g 2up.
