So I was riding this past weekend Sat and Sunday and on Sunday my bike just starts starts hanging up at around 2000 RPMs. I pull off the road and shut down and find my cruise control cable had worked its way out of the holder and was now shorter and holding open the throttle.
I put it back and it did it again so I just disconnected it. I am wondering if this has happened to anyone in the past and what they have done to fix it. The cable is not threaded so there are no nuts (like a dirt bike or regular carb) to hold it in place. I was thinking of safety wiring it in place but has anyone else had this issue?
It happened on a side road with little traffic so it was not that big of an issue but it could have been one.
Anyway, feedback would be appreciated. Thanks
Bike is a 2006 RK with a 103, SE Race Tuner, 10,000+ mile no other issues.
