Welcome to the RG club! I'm 5'5" and I have the reach seat installed, and stock bars on my RG...I put in a CeeBailey windshield, lightly smoked 12" height. Now I can see above the shield when I'm riding, but can slouch, and hide behind it. I use a full helmet, and I get next to no buffeting at all. I will eventually change out the bars as they are a tad too far away from me at the moment...otherwise, love the bike.

I'm 6'2" just got my clearview in today, just to Damn hot to put it on[:@] I got a 2" taller and 2 1/2" closer to me with the vent in tinted gray it looks sharp as a tack Got the adj. backrest love it, only time it's off is when my wife rides (hers are much nicer) picked up a set of lowers used off e-bay I'm going to install later in the fall with a set hoppes vents in them I think you'll love the bike, handles like it wants to be on a race track! Put a sirius sat. radio on and it rocks. sure have came a long way from my old shovel which I still have

I used the stock height for local and commuting and the HD touring 15" (I think) for my annual 3-weeker. I am 6' and there was a lot more buffeting with the RG standard windshied over the stock bat-wing (standard height) windshield. It will be very apparent to you after having a bat-wing how much farther away the dash and windshield is, thus the increase in same height windshield buffeting. Not saying RG is a poorer ride, just different, better in some ways (high speed stability/handling comes to mind). Your gonna love it. P.S. Get that cool new windshield trim the moco is hawking for the RG, its some fine looking bling.

I use the chopped one around town. When I go for longer rides I use my 10 inch one. Heres a pic of the 10 inch.
