Default New stitched C&C seat question

I now have about 200 miles on my new C&C Squareback mercedes vinyl seat with flame stitching. Looks and feel are great. Here's the question....What do you guys use for rain protection? It's recommended to cover with a plastic bag when washing (due to the stitching holes) which is no problem, but what do you do when your caught in the rain? I'm wondering what product you use to help with water penetration.
Thanks for the input.

I take my seat off when I wash the bike. If it rains, it gets wet.

Default C&C Seats

When I wash my bike I never hose down the seat. I usually treat the seat every couple of months with a leather protectant. If it rains it rains. No problems so far.

How about specifics on your seat? Lookin hard at em and hate to start another thread that has probably been worn to death. Still stock on my 01 FLHR and ashamedly only have over 27K on the bike but the stock has seen better days. Curious about your size and sizing you opted for as well as other options.

I'll say this about my C&C seat....It's a work of art. Very well constructed, and looks great on the bike. The Squareback isn't the most comfortable seat in the world, but as they say, the price of cool ain't cheap. I've done a fair share of 500 mile days on it though (and on a lowered Softail), and it's not nearly as bad as you'd think.

You've got a vinyl seat, that makes it pretty much maintenance-free. If it gets wet, leave it out in the sun to dry off.

Sno-Seal. Or another waxy water proofing treatment for shoes and boots. Rub it into the needle holes well, heat with a hair dryer to melt it into the hole and buff with a cloth when it's dry.
