Looking to replace my gauges, and need to see if I have the abilities necessary to do it on my own. I'm not a mechanic but now how to use the business end of a wrench. Tried to search for a post but not much luck.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!!

I too am not mechanically inclinded, but changed out the OEM gauges to the Silver-Faced gauges on my '06 Ultra. I'm going to do the same on my '010. Very straight forward and the only difficulty I had was on one gauge, getting the nut or bolt off. Would have been easier if I had used a knuckle-adaptor / universal joint adaptor but otherwise it's nothing more than removing the outer fairing; everything else was plug-and-play. You'd want to have a service manual or a Internet link to pictures with the proper way to remove the outer fairing.
As mentioned below, put socks on your spots and a cover on the front fender.

I'd like to buy a stock speedometer from any of you who want to get rid of your old one. Just give me a PM. Not sure how you handle the mileage though.
