Default Poll, Keep bike motor stock?

I have been hanging here a few years now and I have seen very few people keep their bikes motors stock. I am not talking about the a/c pipe add ons but motor upgrades. Would liek to get an idea how many of are actually normal and can resist the urge to go bigger and better (perceived). I think this is some type of disease.

People don't start a thread about "I didn't do anything to my bike". They start a thread about what they do to their bikes.

I bought mine that way. All ready built. The reason I did that was to save me from doing it to my sporty. I seem to do it to everything I own though.

I keep my Harley motor stock. I add A/F, Pipes and a few chrome pieces here and there to make it personal, But the 96 motor is fine with me. I stopped racing 30 years ago. Each to their own!!!

More power would be completely irrelevant to me. I seldom use more than half throttle as is.

The stock motors are pooches...If you want to play you have to pay. I just had some new cams installed and what a difference they made...next mod will be increaseing the displacement.

Each has his own personal pleasure it appears.

Some like to dress em up and trailer them around
Some..... to wrench and do continual mods
Some ..... to have a platform on which to pose
Some.... to just ride the things

For me... all my mods have been safety or functionality mods (headlight modulator, sissy bar, tall boy seat, highway pegs, frame stiffener etc.) I could not care less about paying for a marginal increase in HP as the bike (even if lethargic by some standards) is plenty fast for my cruising and long distance riding.

But to each his own.

I agree. Cams made a difference and next is upping the displacement to 107 I'm thinking.
