i had them installed when i got my motor built. i felt a bit more secure having the best parts in there, because they're supposedly far better than the ina's.
Yeah man the torringtons are way better. If you do the job yourself look at the difference in the roller. The stock rollers have a wall/spacer of some sort between each roller. The torrington is all rollers. Well worth the extra change.
Damn! That's a helluva deal, and I haven't seen these go below $150 on Ebay for a while. Are you going to install them yourself?
I sure am. Got my Beatty tool and all the goodies on the way. I got the cam install kit, the B-168 bearings, and the SE Tapered adjustable pushrods from Zanotti's. I thought it was a great deal on the cam though....can't see any hint of a wear mark in the pictures, so let's hope this is what I recieve in the end.
Do you think I need to swap lifters? I'm at almost 12K now.

Inspect them upon arrival, as two others have purchased 255's on Ebay and gotten something else. Real SE255 cams have "CVO 255" stamped on one of the outer lobes in clear view. Make sure it is there on both cams. They are also one-piece cams, not the press-fit variety as you see with the stock cams.

IMO no. I had 32k and re-used the original lifters. A friend who is a knowledgeable tech didn't change his at 60k. OTOH some think it is good insurance so it's your call, but think about how many lifter failures you've heard about in the last 15 years. I don't think I know of even one, even in high-mileage bikes, although I'm sure someone somewhere has had a lifter fail. BTW these are identical to common GM lifters and can be cross-referenced to Crane 10530, which are much cheaper than HD. Same lifter, different box, lower price.

Thanks, I will inspect them closely when I get them. I had to go out of town so I asked the seller to delay shipping until this Monday. Should get them by the end of next week though.

I'll keep my stock lifters...didn't figure I would have any trouble. Especially if the cams lack a wear patten like the picture from the e-bay listing.
