I did a search on this subject...most replys were 'dont forget it'.
Im wanting a light set of rain gear....seems I remember some mentioning awhile back "Frog Toggs". Any comments? Recommendations? Where did you order them from?
Thanks...
Billy G
Not that it matters much but IMO Frog Toggs look like sh*t. I don't like the texture of their fabric; looks cheapo and feels cheapo.
I have a TourMaster 2-piece Defender rainsuit and for $60, you can't beat it. If I wanted to spend twice as much, I'd buy a Hi-Vis suit from HD.

We like the HD "Waterproof nylon with full mesh lining helps keep light rain from ruining a good ride. Zipper front with storm flap and removable helmet-friendly hood. Features adjustable elastic cuffs and two welded, waterproof hand-warmer pockets. Large 3M™ Scotchlite™ Reflective Material piping and panel cross the back. Reflective back graphic. Pants feature elastic waist, stirrups, and articulated knees. Heat-resistant shields on inner leg. Adjustable leg openings with gussets to fit boots. Reflective piping down legs. Includes storage bag" for $139 list and very dry.

+1 on the High Viz rain suit. Yes it more expensive than a pair of Frogg Toggs but when you consider the features of the High Viz gear its worth it IMO.
High Visibility, Stirrups, hood, suspenders, etc. I've worn it a few times in pretty good down pours with my boot gaiters and also stayed dry as a bone.
Oh I forgot to mention the heat proof panels on the inside of both legs which prevent the legs from melting on your pipes when their hot.
i am a huge fan of aftermaket (ussualy better and cheaper) but not when it comes to raingear even the lower priced harley gear is worth every overpirced penny.
Hey Flight. Nice tip. I have a tour Pak but I still will try this. You can't ever have too much room on the longer trips. BTW, we just purchased sets of the HD Hi Vis rain suits. Replaced the lighter weight 'pack in the hood' type. Full face helmet is almost a must in order to keep the driving rain from seeping in around the hood and working its' way down your neck.
Be careful not to pack your bags to the gils if your on a long trip. Once you take them out of the space saver bags, wear them, then try to put them back they take up more room than when they are vacuum packed. But this tip works great for having them in the saddle bags all other times.
