Humm, after reading all this looks like I should get a 6" for my EG. I have cut my stock down to an 8" and am looking through it about 2" below the top. Thing is though, is it going to be adequate for the wife when riding 2 up? I'm getting a fair amount of wind but mine is coming from the bottom right side. I can block it with my hand or raise my arm to use the elbow to block it and all feels great.
Tried a Klock, didn't like it for same reasons as OP, BOUGHT a Cee Baileys, same thing. Got a Clear View +2, bought a 'blem' that was available immediately and had a handsome discount. Put it on and never looked back. Perfect for me. Sweet, cool 'pocket' on undisturbed air around my head. ZERO buffetting, good on passenger also. A little taller than Klock and Cee Baileys, but like you, I am not into the hurricane feeling. John is great to deal with AND this shield comes with New rubber gasket and well nuts. Great value! IMO

The difference is night and day. I'm 5'11" with a 30" inseam and use a GT-XL. I can either look over it or through it depending on how I sit. VERY smooth. Wife said it made all the difference in the world for her too - she thought I'd done far more than just change the windshield. It seems to eliminate the low-pressure air pocket behind the windshield so she isn't being sucked forward. Radio got louder and I swear my gas mileage has gone up too (no kidding!)
Most of the people I know who have used the KW or the Kury shields tend to get rid of them and go with a CV.

Same here - John's a great guy to deal with. I've also got the +2 and even at 6'6" I'm pretty happy with it. I find that most of my turbulant air is coming from below.....seeing lowers in my future.
8.5" smoked on an Electra Glide Ultra Classic with tall-boy seat. Look over the winshield by about an inch and have smooth buffeting-less ride. Super people to do business with. Made in the US and they speak english------+5. In short I love my Clearview and wouldn't be without it.
Can anyone give some input before Clearview calls me back tomorrow? I'm 5-04, my 08 RG has about a 1.5 in drop in the seat. Was looking at the CV 11 inch sport which apparently gives a 6.5 inch vertical height. When speaking to CV on the phone today I was told I could probably get away with looking over a GT Small which has a 11.5 inch vertical height. I tried doing the measurements on my motor and as far as I can tell I can only max out at about an 8.5 inch vertical height. Am I missing something. I know the CV has more pullback to it, but just not sure they have both the sport 11 and GT Small (Blem) in stock so I won't have to wait either way. Any input would be great. BTW I have a brand new Memphis Shades 9 inch Black Gradient NIB if anyone is interested.
I have a 12 in smoke tint with recurve. It looks good and performs good. I don't think you'll go wrong. Go to there website pic a blem. I got one that had a spec 3 inches above the batwing and 4 inches from the right which is behind the windshield bag. I didnt see the blem but if they say is there. OK still hidden.
