I am a new Harley owner and have found valuable info in the forums so I thought I would turn to the experts.
I have a 2009 Road King which I have installed a Performance Machine Super Gas Air Cleaner. The air cleaner itself, which is supposed to be a K&N, is turning white on the top half of the filter but is still a darker red on the bottom half. Also, the stainless steel mesh cover is showing signs of discoloration. I have only put around 250 miles on the bike since the install. Did I do something wrong on the install or could this be a defective product?

Thanks for the insight and help.
The filter is fading from the sun. I would imagine that is normal. The mesh screen might need to be cleaned. Take it out and clean it and see what happens. If all else fails call PM and see what they say. Drew
