I ride only solo and the chopped has ample room for the stuff I carry on trips. The King is 4" higher and will probably allow storage for any size helmet, but my 3/4 helmet won't fit in the chopped TP. I can't say how a half helmet would fit. Sometimes I would like having this ability, but the TP is rarely on the bike except while on trips, and while traveling I don't have enough extra room for the helmet anyway.
For those who travel two-up I think the King is the only way to go, but solo riders may find the chopped sufficient. It also lowers the bike's center of gravity and weighs a bit less.
Chopped Tour Pak will fit 2 half helmet so long as you don't have much else in there.
Carl, Thanks for the post, I was searching for this bracket, MilwaukeeBagger just confirmed shippment.
Glad to help . . . (you spend your money LOL). It's an excellent product. If I ever want to put a price tag on how much I disliked the "Harley Hoops" I can subtract what the HD mounting hardware and two-up detachable rack cost from the MB rack's cost; IIRC, it was about $75--some of the best money I've spent on my bike.
