I have the same issue with my 09 electra glide standard, just started at 5000 miles. The dealer says it may be the motors mounts so he ordered all 4 but they are backordered 2 weeks, the next fix if that fails will be a new complete crank. What was your end result?

'05 Ultra with 31k miles.

I've been having a very similar issue recently where I could feel an intermittent vibration mainly through my left highway peg and left floorboard at about 2800 rpm after the bike has warmed up. Its all emanating from the left side. It was really been annoying and makes riding not so enjoyable. It feels like it's a driveline issue. Had a rear tire put on recently and it felt like the belt was too tight. Loosened it and the vibration was still there. Adjusted the primary chain, which only required one notch tighter, and the vibration was still there. When I pull in the clutch lever it goes away. Tightened up the front motor mount and it really didn't make a difference. Decided to replaced it with the Glide-Pro mount. It had the original 79B mount (yes..original) which surprisingly still looked in good shape, but after seeing how much it moved in relation to the rpms, I decided to change it. Got a chance to ride it this week and I still can feel it, but not as much. The local dealer said it may be the compensator coming loose, so I had them re-torque it for me. Still there. Last night I pulled the baffle from the left exhaust just to see if anything was up with that. Not that. Stll doing it.

My 2010 has a high pitched vibration, don't know how else to say it. It starts at 2800 RPM's and goes on to above 3500. Its so bad that my right hand goes to sleep. My numnutted dealer said its because of the apes. I told them it has done it sence 4 miles when I bought the bike. I now have 1700 miles and the apes have been on for about 1100 miles. I will agree the apes do pick it up more, but you can feel it in the seat also.

Ok...Noticed a bit of side play where the exhaust bracket connects under the left bag. It's been like that for a long while and never really had an issue with it. Removed the rubber bushing and expanded it a bit by using some channel lock pliers. Then added a penny on the side between the bushing and the housing to give it a tighter fit. (Saw this idea on another thread). Did this to both exhaust mounts. Wouldn't you know it - only a slight vibration now to let me know that I have an exhaust system and not the sickening rpm vibration which I thought HAD to be something else. Getting some new $3.00 rubber bushings next week. Can't tell my wife that that was it, if you know what I mean.

Default 09 Ultra Vibration

I just took my 09 Ultra(converted to a Trike) in for a vibration it picked up after a 96 to 103 with 211 cams upgrade and a new SE compensator, This vibration only happens after riding about 30 miles or more and I feel it in the floorboards also. The vibration seamed to have started after I tried to crank it at a gas stop and I heard a loud Clang, like metal to metal during start up. It only did that once but I think that's when the vibration started. It also won't crank at times. you have to release the start button and push it again. Feels like there is too much pressure for the starter to overcome and it is real hard to find neutral at times. Bad thing is The dealer called and said there is no warranty on the SE compensator. Compensator was replaced 6mo ago and only has a 90 day warranty according to the dealer. Hope its not the compensator but it sure has a lot of the symptoms!

OK so this is an old post, but has anybody cured their problem? I got the same exact problem starts about 2800 and clears up around 4000 rpm. Had the dealer check it several times while it was under warranty. He told me harmonics. Me I keep thinking the crankshaft is going to fly apart. It is very noticeable in the floor boards and the seat.

Well, called the dealer today they said they could not feel the vibration. They took the primary cover off and checked everything inside re-torqued compensator and clutch. Hope that did something as it cost over $300.

Well, It's Feb. 2012 and still fight'n vibration. Beginning to believe it's got something to do with the upgrade to the 103 from all the post I've been reading. Looks like I may have to live with it. Sure hope nothing flies apart!

Default Vibration

I had an issue that was similar to the rest. Mine started in 2010 at about 60000
Km. and continued to concern me. Not only did the floor boards vibrate the bars did and the fuel tank did. While riding on the highway if I put my hand on the tank there was a defined vibration. In late 2011 at 87000 km. I had a big bore kit put in it was at that time they discovered the connecting rod bearings were shot. After an expensive repair, the bike rides smooth as silk and if you put your hand on the tank at highway speeds there is no vibration. I am not saying this is your problem just something to consider.
This is on a 2008 FLHTC.
