Default Mainshaft sprocket removal socket

Would someone know how deep of 2 1/4'' socket i need to remove the sprocket/pulley nut on 2010? I want to cut one of my shallow sockets and lengthen it with a section of pipe to go over the mainshaft. I'd rather use up some of the sockets i already have than buy the HD one.

Default Rear drive belt replacement

There must be someone that changed their own rear belt and can give me a idea on how deep to make this socket?

While you are at it face the socket on a sanding wheel. You will get a lot more bite out of it.

Do you mean get rid of the leading edge where the radius is on the bottom of the socket? This is to get more of the flats to contact the nut on the mainshaft?

I have the same arrangement but i cut 8'' of pipe to be on the safe side. I also didn't make that plastic mainshaft thread protector. I think if your careful you don't need that piece. Now i have to come up with a tool that allows me to lock the belt pulley without marring it at all. Thank you very much for the pic Dawg

I guess the nut is thin? Any easy locking tool for the belt pulley you know off?
