I have a bit of a blind date...I ordered a 2010 FLHX in Brilliant Silver Pearl but I have not actually seen one . Does anyone have this color (whether SG or not) that they could share some pics or experience on? Does the pearl really pop or is it subtle? How much different than Pewter Pearl from last year? Darker or lighter?
Thanks for any help...the bike arrives in 2 weeks and I am getting anxious as you can imagine. I am moving from a Road King to a SG.
hello no pics but a friend has one and it is pretty. i have the pewter pearl and his is lighter. in the light it has a blue tint. im sure you will like it. nice choice.
I have a 2 tone 2010 Ultra, Flame Blue Pearl and Brilliant Silver Pearl. I can tell you that the silver jumps out at you, especially in the sun. It has a VERY HEAVY metal flake in it. You will LOVE the color.
I wanted a 2009 Pewter pearl in a bad way. Couldn't make it happen last year. Just picked up a 2010 in Silver and absolutely love the color. You don't see many on the road and it really stands out. Tons of metal flake with a very slight bluish tint to it. Pictures just don't do it justice at all. NO picture I take is as impressive as seeing it in person.
On its own its a nice color, but next to pewter pearl it looks a little flat. The flake and pearl is silver, pewter has many colors of flake red, blue, green, gold and silver, making it pop more!
After several beers tonight I sat in the garage which has an insane amount of florescent lights, I think it's best described as a silver metallic basecoat with big helping of pearl on top. The blue colors come from the pearl coating, there's a hint of red at the right angle too.
