I removed my front bumper yesterday morning, then put a few miles on,no strange noises.I'll bet it's your tires.

It's the tires. E3's do make a noise. The noise isn't enough of a factor to outweigh the other advantages of the E3's though.

I have an 07 FLHTC and took the bumbper off when I brought it home 3 years ago. This past winter I put E3s front and rear and I can hear a slight hum at around the same mph. I just learned to turn the radio up a bit more.

The E3s are simply fantastic IMO.

09 Classic with the bumper removed. No change in sound at the front of the bike.

Thanks for all the replies guys. This was definitely the tires. The wind noise overpowers the tires at 60+. So no biggie. My pipes and build take care of that very well. Just riding through town you could hear the hum.
