Default Fuel leak..Help

I have a 02 RK and the bike is in the garage as we speak leaking gas from the "fuel return line fitting" looking at the manual. I have remove the quick connect fitting and what seems to be either threads or whats left of a seal crumbled in my hand. My question is what do you recommend to fix this or how can I temporary stop the leak so the house doesn't smell of gas? Thanks,

Was it an o-ring?
Might be able to match one up to the fitting. Can the line be pinched off?

That's what I'm about to try. I can't tell from the manual if an O-ring is supposed to be inside the quick connect or not. When I disconnected the other quick connect for the fuel supply line fitting it didn't leak at all.

I'm not sure it there is something I'm missing, but I was going to drain the tank and try to fix the leak, but on the very first step to remove the tank, which I think is page 9-20 or something in the manual it talks about taking a hose and cutting it and attaching it to the crossover hose which looking at the pictures I can't tell where it is. What am I missing? So far I unplugged the fuel pump, battery and the next step is draining the gas, but I'm lost. Sorry.

The crossover hose is on the lower front of the tank , and goes under the top frame. You need to take this off to remove the tank.

So do I need to lift the tank off the frame before I actually see this hose or can I access this anywhere else? Do you know if the fuel return line fitting has an o ring in it?

The QD fuel line should have an o ring in it. The crossover does not have an o ring. Replace it with fuel line and hose clamps when you reinstall.

yea, I guess the line needs to be replaced and apparently they don't make the exact fitting any longer and the line has been retrofitted to a different type so I have to buy a whole new line for $45. oh well. Hey lucky, question...I'm thinking of going to a 21 inch spoke like the one you have. Any good vendors you can recommend for good prices? if you don't mind what dod you pay for that and the tire? Thanks,
