Ok I have a ACC helmet I like it a lot and paid a lot for it thinking it was a good hetmet and looked good. Now the problem is what next???? I will not pay for a bar & shield or flames $200 at the harley shop NO. I was thinking about the Shoie cruz . no shop around me has that one in stock . Is it a big helmet? mushroom or the great zazoo head look? I know it is a very good one I have the shoie rj but never use it . I am spoild by the ACC. But if it is a pice of $hit with no protection it is just a expensive novality helmet. The cruz looks good in the pictures but you never see it on someone .
What is the deal with a recall? I have one of these helmets also, I don't wear it a lot but keep in in my bag for when I do feel the need to wear one. Is there a thread or web site to read up on this recall? Thanks,

The one I just received is an EXT-04 which does not appear to be part of the recall. Explains why when I called ACC directly the referred me to another party and now ALL motorcycle helmets are removed from their website and they only sell Kayak helmets. Similar thing happend to Nxt helmets 6 or 7 years ago
Well, I have two of their 1/2 helmets. One is non-DOT, the other DOT certified and has the required DOT sticker on it..If I can get money back for the non-DOT helmet, that's great...but I'm keeping and wearing the DOT version....
