Flag Pole
#2
I use a Chrome six foot closet pole. I put two eyelets in to attach the flags to, a layer of electrical tape to keep it from rattleing too much. I also cross drilled the pole with the holder and have a quick release pin through it for peace of mind. Had it up to 70 MPH with no problems.

Here's a reference for you on flags and mounts.

I'm running two 3 x 5 flags on a Rivco mount on my Ultra. I substituted 4 to 8 foot poles unlike the 6 to 12 footers described in the writeup. I've been using them for 2 years and way too many missions. Best mount's you can put on a bagger I think.

I also use the Rivco mount on my Ultra, but used two 6 foot wooden closet rod for flag poles. They required a little sanding on the belt sander to make them a tight fit. I added 2 more grommets to my 3 x 5 flags (4 total) for more strength at higher speeds. I used 5/16" eye bolts drilled through the poles and attach the flags with 1/4" spring clips for easy removal after each mission. Flags have flown trouble free for over two years, other than normal wear & tear. They have held up to speeds...well...in excess of parade speeds ** (& I'll leave it at that)...(**NOT recommended, the bike does get a bit sensitive at those speeds)
