I am thinking about the drop in for my 09 ultra. Does it affect the handling? That is what worries me. I could do better with the bike lower as I am height challenged.

Having the SG with the rear already lowered 1", lowering the front improved handling. I know that HD recommends only lowering the front on bikes with the low profile shocks (12") already installed in the rear. You will want to check with others that have lowered the front only before going forward.
i am going to do the drop in in my softail fxstb 2007. i am going with the 2 inches but i am wondering if it is going to be bottoming out not the bike the actal front are the spring gonna bottom out in eachother?? if i put the heavy oil in will it help this and also will it ruin my ride make it a lot stiffer??

It depends on how far you wanna drop it. If you want the full 2" then no pvc spacers. If you wanna drop it only 1" cut the spacer to 1" and install it. I highly recommend only dropping it 1". Mine is dropped 2" and the rides a little stiff. I also went with a heavy duty fork oil because of the limited travel after the kit goes in.

No, it's easy. If I had it to do all over again I would have dropped it only one inch and went with a medium weight fork oil. That would be my recommendation for you. You'll have a little more travel in the front end and it will be more comfortable. I'm probably gonna go with that the next chance I get.
I have a 07 sg and i lowered mine all 2". The fender will not hit the fairing. There a bump stops in the fork. When you put the two springs in from progressive the little flat spring is what lowers the bike. The compression point is still the same as when they were stock.
Did you have to completely remove the fork tubes from the trees? I have the drop in kit to do my 07 SG but am looking for any pointers or tips to do this with minimal tear down.
