Can anyone give me a honest, dyno give me on HP & Torque on the stock 103 please.
Marsh
I'm one of those guys that is happy with the 103 in my Limited. I find I use the highway power band much more than the drag race mode ... so no realy need for that extra HP.
But seriously ... though I'll probably never do the high-$ tune jobs these folks are talking about, I was curious about the comparisons. So I went to the Fuel Moto site and looked at their charts. Here's what they have ...
"This chart shows the difference from the completely stock 2010 Harley Ultra Limited 103" to the installation of Jackpot Dyno tuned mufflers, Jackpot 2/1/2 head pipe, Stage 1 air cleaner, Power Commander V, and Wood TW6-6 cams"
A bone stock 103 is like a bone stock 96. Limp. Doesn't matter which one you have, you need at least a decent stage I treatment for them to run decently.
I took my stock 96, installed 255 cams, and Rinehart 2:1 exhaust. Had it dynotuned and I'm getting 80 hp and 100 tq. I'm damn satisfied with the results.

Marsh you also have to understand the big improvement on this chart to me is of course the cams, tune and replacement of the Head Pipe that has a catalytic converter in it on the 2010 models.
Here's a picture of one cut in half. WOW what a restriction.
You don't have that problem with yours. The 103, cams and tune should get you the same results.

TFB,
In case your're wondering about me getting a new 103 bike....I'm not. This RK of mine will be with you awhile. I was just wondering if the stock 103 when be as possible as my warm over 95. It looks like my bike is more powerful. I have raced 96" stock and it's blown away the 96" with by bike. However, if I did have a 103, I would do the same motor as by old 02 RK.
Since being retired, and have the bike payed off more, I think I'll keep it.

I have dealer installed factory 103s in my 07 Dyna and my 07 RG. Both have factory exhausts, power commanders and were dyno tuned. The Dyna has the 2010 SE mufflers with cats. These are both "stage 2" kits with different cams, I think they are 255s.
Torque is 104 and 105
HP is 84 and 85.
There is virtually no torque curve, starts very high at 2,000 and stays there.
For me, it was a huge improvement.
Cost was about $2,000 each, including theparts, auto compression releases, PC111s, and the dyno tune.

I have a friend with a Heritage Soft tail Classic, he just did the Stage II big Bore (95ci).
I picked mine up from the dealer w/ 103Stage II. We have raced each other several times and neither of us can beat which ever gets the lead(jump). However, he's a good 30-50 pounds lighter than me and his bike is a smaller and lighter bike. He and I are both shifting into 5th @ 90 ( or is it 4th). Either way I have an extra gear.
I need a better tune, thinking about the XiED.
