It's been awhile since i've been on the site, hope everyone is doing well. I've been very busy with the end of school coming up, and trying to get as much riding as I can in. I have my Knee replacement scheduled for the 18th of May, then rehab. The doc says I will be up and walking in 2 weeks, but it will take about 6 months to heal all the way. I figure if I can walk, I can ride even if I have to mount from the other side.
the good news is as a disabled vet, they going to move me from 40% disability t0 100% until it's healed which is about a $1000 extra a month. that will come in handy (Chrome). Wish me luck on a great knee when I come out of there. I'm tired of dragging it around with this damn brace on it, the thing scratched up my air filter cover, and that pissed me off.
Ride safe.
Welcome Back, Gun. I agree if you can walk you can ride. Went through a similar event myself. Soon as I could walk and reach the throttle, off I went. And that was the best therapy. Good Luck!
Gunner good to hear from you.Good luck with your surgery,I'm 11 weeks out from my knee replacement now,and I've been riding pretty regularly for 3 weeks.Best of luck man,
Mark
Welcome back. You'll get back ridin' soon enough. It's good being your right knee cause you won't have to handle the weight getting her off the jiffy stand. That alone will get you back in the saddle sooner. Hope it goes well for you!
