No, but I have read some post where the hyd bottle went bad on the J&S.
The only real difference I see, the base on the J&S are wider. I'm sure they are a better made jack and if I owned a shop where I worked on bikes all day, I would surely own a J&S or Pit-bull, but for my own use, I love my HF Jack

My HF jack is fast coming down and I've filled and bled the fluid to no avail. Looks like the bolt mod is the ticket.

I bought a "Jellow jack" from Harley in 1993....
I sold it years later.....went with no jack....

The jack in 1993 went for 300 bucks....

I saw the same kind in Harbor Freight for 120 bucks several months ago. I bought it...it was beautiful and exactly the same except the color was different. THATS WHERE THE SIMALARITIES END.

This piece of junk wobbles with the bike on it. It's aluminum and that should have been my warning...It shakes the bike and is damn unsafe.

The old steel yellow jack was solid, it raised a fat boy and you could bump into it and the bike could take the hit. This Harbor freight thing I have is just good looking junk.
One of the scariest things I ever bought....

You get what you pay for.

Close the valve pump it a few times open the valve close the valve pump it a few times open the valve until there is no air in it and like magic it will work . It ain't friggin rocket science.

Don't you mean assembled in the USA? All of the parts come from China, including the steel.

Wife bought my HF jack for me a couple years ago, been left out in the elements and still works great. Gotta stomp that lever down fast for mine to come down slow, if pushed half way hold on.
