Why are jacks rated for the chinese hydraulics only. I feel any type of leverage can lift anything, IMO it is how stable when in the air. Welds, sleeves where bolts penetrate several pieces, width, castors, gauge of metal used for frame and sub members etc. When removing a wheel and the bike remains stable with no other means of support is what sells me on a jack. Also remove entire front end and have bike remain stable, is just as important. I feel the cost and construction should justify what each is using it for. A buddy of mine had a Sears jack lean and buckle perpendicular to the raise direction when he removed the rear tire. Thank goodness it was only a few inches off the ground and we saved the bike. Just an experience to share. I am not criticizing anyone or their Jack.

I'd like to argue about tuners next if everyone's okay with that.

I have the yellow HF jack and works just fine for my needs......In the video he has the jack on the starboard side ans just as the bike is coming to rest, he has to reach to ensure the bike is on the kick stand...I push mine in on the port side, seems like that's the way it's meant to be used. Do any of you raise and lower your lifts on the starboard side?

I'm into getting what I need for the best price, not necessarily the most expensive on the market, and I couldn't care less if it is made in China or not, as most Chinese products are good quality. It's the few bad apples in the cart that you hear about on the news. A jack is for jacking-up the bike, and if a $50 one will do that without collapsing I'll buy it--that is unless somebody makes a $40 jack that does the same job. My 2˘.
I would agree...as long as it does the job who cares, if a person feels better paying 3x more for something that does the same thing...well...good for them...I've had my HF now for 5 years and haven't had one single problem with it.

I was working on my bike while up on my HF jack and the wrench slipped and I cut my hand on the exhaust heat shield... really bad.

I touched the wound on the HF jack and it healed my hand.

All kidding aside... will Lemon Pledge hurt my paint? LOL!

I bet the Lemon Pledge could fix a HF jack. Of course you would have to continue to reapply occasionally to keep the jack working correctly. Oh darn!! I broke a nail.
