Default SE clutch spring -- Installed

Dyno tuned my bike last week and the clutch was slipping. I installed the SE spring this am and it works. $31 and 1.5 hours later no more slip. The lever pull is around 30% harder but the action feels good. I used Dawgs method on the adjustment and it was spot on. This forum is great and gives one the confidence to do your own work. I used the manual for torque specs and it was an easy job. Thanks HD forums!

Mine too! Big improvement over stock. Huge difference wish I had done it sooner. +1 on the people here!

i did the screamin eagle clutch spring over a month ago, and along with the screamin eagle compensator, it made a world of difference. my 96" motor was starting to slip a bit via the clutch. not any more though. and now that it's a 103, i'm thinking it was time for a stronger drive setup. good for you man. some of this stuff is doable at home, ain't it cool?

Well, I've got the VPC Clutch hub kit and I've ordered the clutch spring for a 2003 big twin and earlier with some new friction discs. This setup should be good for a 124" Jims while still keeping reasonable clutch lever pull. It's a little pricey though. $300 for the VPC from AIM, $35 for the spring, $120 for the discs and $25 for the gasket. I'll let you all know how it turns out (I've already installed the VPC)

The best combo is the SE clutch diaphragm spring, and the EZ pull kit ramps.......that gives you the same lever pull as stock but with the added pressure of the SE spring.

I've been running that combo for the past 2+ years and love it.........no slipping at all with a stock lever pull.

Having the '06 I had the easy pull stock clutch, but the new spring added harsher pull but not too bad. I'll get used to it I'm sure.

The EZ pull will be installed on Tues along with V&H True Duals and hopefully my final Dyno Tune. I really like the way the clutch hooks up now.
