Default Bag repaint...$$$ ?

Looking at a electra glide standard that would need to have a bag repainted. What can one expect to pay? Color is black cherry. No pin striping involved.

TIA!

The first question is why does it have to be repainted? Is it scratched, chiped, cracked? If it just has some scratches that can be sanded out I would charge about $100.00 and the price would very with the amount of work needed.

Thanks for the reply, skullglide! Owner says he forgot to lock bag and it came off while going down the road. Bag is scratched at lower left corner and on lid as best I can tell from the pics. Does't look too bad but then I don't know what prep work would be needed to fill the scratches before repaint. Would that be a touch up or a complete repaint of the bag you think? I'm going to see if I can PM you a pic he sent.

I just painted a tourpak myself and the cost of the paint alone was $140. I used PPG automotive. It was one of their budget priced paints. I doubt you could get it repainted for less than $200 or so.

When I said 100.00 dollars that was for the bag only not the lid, and that was for labor only. The price of the paint would be extra. If you go to a auto paint store the are going to charge more for the paint than if say you gave me the part and i mixed the paint. Also every color verys in price. If you give me the color I can tell you how much it would be per ounce. yeah send some pics

Ok i see that you said the color is black cherry. Sorry about that. the whole bag will be repainted. It might not need to be completly based but for sure fully cleared. I usually just base the whole thing anyways. I have never had a harley color not match. I also use ppg dbc
