Default Caution with Progressive lowering Cartridges

I figured I would throw this warning out there so the same thing that happened to me doesn't happen to you.
I had the progressive lowering cartridges installed on my 09 street glide a little over a week ago and so far I love the ride.
Now for the BAD part.
I had it in my level garage last night on the kickstand. I sat on the bike and turned the bars to the right so I could have some extra room and got off the bike. I then started to walk away and the bike went over on it's own to the right side. Right into my snowblower. The outer fairing hit the muffler on the snow blower. I was like holy Sh$$. I then realized how heavy my bike was. So now my outer fairing has 3 scratches on it that are about 2 inches long. I am being told that I am better off just ordering a new fairing from Harley as the paint and supplies along are over $200 plus labor for painting. New fairing about $400.

I then sat on the bike with the kickstand on and the bars turned to the right and it just wants to go over. I would have assumed there would have been a huge warning on the box saying don't park your bike this way.

I then thought to myself maybe the dealer lowered it 2 inches instead of the one as you can with this kit. So I called progressive and asked how would I tell. He said if you have 2 little springs from us and 2 little stock springs it was lowered one inch. PS my bike is lowered one inch. I told him what happened and he said oh no you can't park your bike that way, like I should have known that. He told me to find an after-market kickstand.

WTF that should be in big bold red letters. Man what a crappy day. I would hate to see what happens if you lower it 2 inches.

Can anyone recommend an after-market kickstand?

Hmm. Changed a suspension component. So did you try driving it yet? The handling is different, too.

No problem with the ride so far as I was never very aggressive with the bike. Just a problem with the fairing. The bike actually takes bumps much better now.

There are too many products with too many warning labels on them already. It's up to the end user to accept a little responsibilityity when you modify anything from OEM components.

I am taking full responsibility as it fell during my watch. All I am saying is it would be nice for them to have a warning that it could occur. Harley puts warnings on all of it's accessories that may alter the function of the bike. I am not here to argue or put the blame on anyone just here to give a heads up.

Drag specialties carries a wedge for the jiffy stand, it changes the mount angle so the bike doesnt sit up as straight. I put one on my 07 bagger with a 2 inch drop, helped alot and only cost me around 50 bucks.

I almost made this mistake in a parking lot with stock fork springs. These bike are heavy in the front any ways. Never a good idea to turn the wheel to the right and get off. Sorry to hear it feel over.

Try shimming your kick stand with washers. It shouldn't take much.
