If you are riding with your Driving lights and the low beam wouldn't accomplish the mission? Since I ride a Street Glide and I don't have the driving lights I use my high beams but I wouldn't if I had driving lights.

I bought the plug and play Kisan Technologies "Path Blazer". The unit allows you to turn on your high beam during the day and it flashes 4x/second. I can't tell you how many people stop and tell me "something's wrong" with my light. What that tells me is they see my bike. That's all I care about. At times people in front of me, if I get too close, actually pull over waiting for a ticket, I guess. At night the automatic sensor shuts down the flashing until dawn. Low beam still works normal. In any case, if the objective is to become more visible to oncoming cagers, a pulsing light is much more effective than a high beam alone. Biometrically, the human brain reacts and notices flashing much more quickly than a solid, albeit, high beam. Kisan indicates it's 50 state legal and I've used these for years on various bikes around the country.

I run the low beam with the driving lights. The three lights (almost) form a triangle, and is much more noticeable than a single high beam, at least to my eyes when I see oncoming bikes.
The pulsing headlight is a big attention getter too...

I use low beam and Hyper Yellow Halogen driving lights and they really work well.

Just switched to the H4 PIAA bulb for the headlight. I rode in front of a buddy that had a SG and had a PIAA H4 and man could you really see him in my rear view mirrors. I am going to look at the Yellow lights mentioned by OP.

I messed up the original post. I rewired the driving lights to stay on with the high beams. Doesn't make sense that they are off. I have no idea why more light with high beams would be a problem. Can someone splain to me that goofy law? I would think that tuning them off with low beams would be the right thing to do as they are sometimes confused with high beams (for those that don't have a clue).

I don't know about the melted plug thing and heat. I guess I will find out...
