OK, here we go. Does anyone know how to tell the difference between a 2003 SE 95 and a 103 kit? I was looking over the "dyno numbers" for the kits and my Ultra's #'s are at the 103 kit levels. I bought the Ultra used through the Stealer and they have no idea what has been done to the bike other than they know that it has a big bore kit. Did SE make heads for the 95" kit? Is there anything on the barrels that would give me a clue? Any help would be great. Here is a pic of the heads and barrels.
the heads are already worked as they are screaming eagle performance heads. probably a higher compression ratio and better performance valves and springs. heads also have some porting and polishing to it. a 95inch motor set up properly with the right cams ans se heads should easily produce 90hp and 110 torque. i have such a kit without the heads and am peshinh 80 plus hp and 100 ft lbs torque.
I agree, you have probably had headwork done. The bigbore cylinders had no "badging" on then to distinguish them. They also probably gave you a higher lift cam as well, if you had new heads.
The "straight" 103 kit, is relatively tame & can be surpassed easily with a 95 with appropriate parts.
Those are SE perf heads, I have them . My 95 pulls 98hp/101 ft lbs , 103s are capable of 110+ with the right cams/headwork . The SE heads can be re-worked to improve flow for 103's.
thanks, thats what I thought. The cams are mild, I think 203's. but I've been told that the 211's will net me 110+ hp and upwards of 120# of torque. The only thing I dont like is the mileage, I only get around 35 mpg on the highway.
