C-clip? Are you saying they are adjustable?

Spring perch(for spring pre load) can be moved up and down the body using a c-clip(small adjustment) or using the rotating ramp(big adjustment) on #2's but on #3's the shock body is threaded and the black collar can be spun using the aluminum wrench as seen in Kilo6's photo's. That is an additional 190# plus the rider for a total of 365# and the ride isn't stiff or hard for the solo set up?

The spring pre-load is adjustable. Howard builds your shocks with springs to suit the rider and takes into account a passenger or heavy luggage, to suit your requirements. So from solo riding settings, the pre-load can be increased by using the built-in adjusters. That is simplest with Howard's #3 shocks. The beauty of buying shocks from Howard (Ohlins or Penskes) is that he builds them to suit the cutomer AND provides the means to fine-tune them. I have #3-#3 like Kilo6.

Yep, same feeling here. Got about 400 miles on them and it's amazing how the rear tire sticks to the road and the ride is smooth as silk. Best mod ever!
