Default RoadGlide headlight problem

Has anyone experianced any problems with thier headlights. This morning getting ready to go to work at 4:30 and got on bike fired it up and no headlights. I tried cycling the ignition switch as well as the high and low beam switch with no luck. I am sure it is probally a fuse but looking to see if anyone else has had a problem. I havnt did anything to the bike at all to cause this. I will look into this tomorrow and keep you all posted. Thanks for any help in advance.

I've had my roadglide for almost 6 years with no headlight problems. Can't help you on this one.

I'd like to jump in with a question of my own because it is in the same topic. How does the lens that covers both headlights come apart? Is it like the bullet turn signals where it just pops off? Also any thoughts would be appreciated.

The day I picked up my Road Glide I was riding home and discovered that I had no headlights. I rode back to the dealer and they found a blown fuse and replaced it. No problems since with mine. I have no idea why it blew in the first place though.

You need to put your palms on the lens and kind of pull upwards until the bottom tabs come out then pull the top part out. Be careful on that last part though as you dont want to pull to hard and break the tabs or chip paint on the outer fairing.

Take a small to medium flat blade screwdriver and put a rag around the tip. There are two places on the bottom of the lens where it snaps into the fairing. Gently pry out both sides and then pull out from the bottom and remove it from the top by rotating the bottom out and pulling the top clips out of the fairing. Replace by installing the lens in the top of the fairing first then snap the bottom two in. It's really easy once you've done it a couple of times. Have to be careful with the screwdriver so you don't scratch the fairing.

Sounds like a fuse to me if you haven't had the outer fairing off. A while back I had the outer fairing off to install Retro Radio package and forgot to plug in the headlights .. oops!

Well I found the problem today. There was two wires that was skinned up behind the outer fairing. First time I have had the fairing off what a job to get back on. I have taken the bike back on two different occasions for the fairing rattling and no fix yet. Well when I removed the fairing all four nuts that hold it all together where loose with two about to fall off. Tightened everything back up and fixed wires and is good to go. This is the quitest the fairing has ever been. You know the saying "If you want it fixed right fix it yourself". If you have your fairing off be sure to check your wiring and the support brackets.

don't mean to be picky - are you talking about the screws that screw from the inside fairing into the outer fairing or are you talking about something else??

A Harley will self destruct without lock tight! Best buy you some blue and use it on every bolt and nut you remove and replace.
